Russia claims breakthrough in cancer treatment with mRNA vaccine, free for patients by 2025
In a significant medical breakthrough, Russia has reportedly developed an mRNA vaccine against cancer, which will be made available to patients free of cost by 2025. The announcement was made by Andrey Kaprin, General Director of the Radiology Medical Research Center under the Russian Ministry of Health, in an interview with Radio Rossiya.
According to Russia's TASS news agency, the vaccine is the result of collaborative efforts among several research centres. Pre-clinical trials have demonstrated its ability to suppress tumour growth and prevent metastases, shared Alexander Gintsburg, Director of the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology.
