Hundreds of Palestinians displaced by West Bank settlers since start of last month: UN
Over 800 people from at least 98 households in the occupied West Bank have been displaced by Israeli settlers since the start of last month, according to a report released on 1 November by the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
“In 15 herding communities across the West Bank, at least 98 households comprising 828 people, including 313 children, have been displaced amid settler violence or increased movement restrictions since 7 October,” the OCHA report reads.
Just days ago, 141 Palestinians from the southern West Bank town of Khirbat Zanuta fled their homes after armed settlers threatened to kill them if they refused to leave.
According to the report, several settler attacks took place on the Khirbat Zanuta herding community in October. As a result, two-thirds of the families residing in the area are now displaced.
