Travelers warned they risk jail and $5,000 fine if they don’t follow new $60 ‘fingerprint’ policy at US border
TRAVELERS visiting the US for an extended stay should expect to be fingerprinted and shell out a $30 fee if they want to cross the border.
The US Customs and Border Protection is threatening a $5,000 fine and even jail time to any traveler who doesn’t follow the new rule.
Canadian native Steve Blair, who spends his winters in Arizona, said that he was stunned when he and his wife had to pay $60 to enter the neighboring country for over 29 days.
