Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas made a big political statement at the Oscars. They wore red "Artists4Ceasefire" pins to call for peace in the Middle East.

This isn't the first time stars have used award shows to make a point. In 1973, Sacheen Littlefeather refused Marlon Brando's Best Actor Oscar for him.

Earlier this year, Annie Lennox asked for peace in the Middle East at the Grammy Awards. Now, more stars are joining her call for peace in the Israel-Hamas War.

Billie and Finneas, who could win Best Original Song for their tune from the Barbie film, were not alone. Ramy Youssef, star of Poor Things, and Eugene Lang also wore the pins.

Ramy told a reporter: "We're calling for immediate, permanent ceasefire in Gaza. We're calling for peace and lasting justice for the people of Palestine,", reports the Mirror.
