Residents of Germany outraged by the proposal to replace the shower with a damp cloth

Readers of the German edition of Die Welt responded to Baden-Württemberg Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann’s call to heat just one room in the living room and wipe with a damp cloth instead of a shower.

Earlier, the politician, who represents the Green Party, stated that for about 25 years he has been heating water with the help of solar energy and heating a living room in the entire building.

“A washcloth is a useful invention,” said the German prime minister, noting that this way one can stop “taking a shower all the time.”

The article dedicated to his statement provoked an active response from users in the comments.
